I go to 40-50 open wheel races a year.
I heard rumor there is a device made that I can sit in the stands & receive real time scoring from the transponders with group qualifying. Is this true or impossible? ![]() This would relieve me from straining to hear announcers at tracks with antiquated speakers/sound systems or bad timing and greatly enhance my score keeping abilities. Please advise or let me know who to ask. I contacted Amb-it (Transponders) last year & again this year, with no response. Thank you for your time.

I'd think that a laptop with a wireless card would allow you to access the AMB web site and then get the my laps info.....

I remember seeing a few years ago, someone actually using a gameboy (old school one) to get this information. don't know with how, or what, but they definately were doing it. I believe it could have been Tim Clauson, he may have some insight for you.
