To make everyone feel welcome to run with us this weekend we will allow the ASCT AMERICAN RACER MC3 OR HOOSIER DT3 for the races at Montpelier Motor Speedway and Shady Hill Speedway.

A question:

According to the previous posts the ASCT requires an MC-3 with the ASCT stamp on it. We bought a used MC-3 from someone who ran the North Vernon event who told us the tire was bought from ASCT, but we can't seem to find an ASCT stamp on it. Did ASCT sell tires without the ASCT stamp and, if so, are they legal at the races that stipulate the MC-3 only?

If you go to Montpelier you'll only have to sit in the parking lot for 1 class.

Tim,

The MC-3 tires that were sold by ASCT at North Vernon did have a hexagon shaped (or however many sided it was) marking on them. The ASCT stamp was not available on the first shipment of tires. Those marked tires sold at North Vernon are legal for all ASCT races.

I was told today the tire rule was opened to DT-3's again this weekend because of production availablility issues of the ASCT stamped MC-3's. It was done so with the blessing of the American Racer rep because they were not able to supply additional tires in time to have them on hand for this weekend. Every shipment of ASCT stamped MC-3's have sold out.
