I was wondering if anybody had any secrets as to where to stay around Eldora. Any clean, cheap places to stay? I know thats asking a lot, but if anybody has an ideas please PM me. If all else fails, might just sleep in the vehicle

I haven't been to the Eldora opener in a few years, but it may be fairly cold for car sleeping. Greenville has two places for around $81 a night, it's south on 118. I stayed there a few years ago and it was alright. I brought my wife with me so we had to stay in the hotel....

You can stay in either Sidney (Days Inn, Holiday Inn, Econo Lodge), or Piqua (Comfort Inn, LaQuinta Inn). Eateries, and shopping are close by in both towns.

Both Sidney and Piqua, are 1/2 hour or so from the track.

Plus, since the opening weekend in a 2 day USAC show, a lot of the racers stay in the hotels in Sidney and Piqua too

Normally, on Saturday about 9:30-10AM or so, the guys roll the cars out of the trailers to begin maintenance. You get to really check out the cars, the trailers, talk to the crews, and a lot of times the drivers show up too...autograph time

Most times they will fire the cars down the street in Sidney, and in the parking lot at Piqua.

Stayed in Sidney one time. I think it was at the Days Inn. It was fine, but I had a couple of detours on the way over to the track that made the drive a lot longer than it should have been.

Pretty tough to get there in a straight line when a couple of bridges were out.

the Cole's motel in Celina is a classic. straight shot 16 miles or so north on 127. hotel celina, holiday inn, many watering holes and a huge man made lake that is at least 10 miles long maybe more.

If you have a group the Westlake Village condos are pretty cost effective. One bedroom with a double bed, one with two singe beds and a hideaway couch. 2 bathrooms, kitchen and more.
Right on Route 127 south edge of Celina.
Ask for the Eldora rate.
