With their schedule full of good stuff, it looks like I'll be out in Indiana twice.
-- April 16/17/18 for the 3 race weekend (I already got my flight and I'm staying @ 4 pts by Sheraton in Carmel for $43. bucks a night) There will be no need to visit any new racetracks with 3 nights of great tracks and racing.

And I may return in July for the 2nd half of Sprint week. There are a couple of tracks I haven't been to in that half. (Brownstown/Tri-State) plus you can't lose when you end the week @ Kokomo for a reg. show.

Later, JERSEY

Jersey if you are planning on Kokomo the Sunday after sprintweek(the 18th) you might be disappointed. In talking with the O'Connors they were thinking about not running that date because they had no crowd that night. In fact there werent a whole lot of cars that night either. I think that might have been the night I was halfway back to Indy before it got dark. So watch the schedule when it comes out to make sure.

John,

You are correct. We were home before 9:30 PM that night and the car count was less than normal. I also heard that they might not race that Sunday this year. Time will tell.

A slightly beefed up purse for that night would do the trick. Remember the first year after the remodeling, they hosted a $5,000 to win race? That was well attended and had a big car count. Just sayin'...

Hey thanks everyone on the heads up about Kokomo. I was at that $5000 to win show that I beleive was about 102 degrees out. I hope they do that show again or some form of it. Kokomo is a great track to see non-wingers. I guess I will have to look up a Sunday track somewhere for that night or just fly home and work on Monday(YUCK!!!)
