Just found out that the Aurora Farmers Festival started today and runs through Saturday. Don't know about the traffic situation going through Aurora if anyone is coming east on U.S.50. Dave Rudisell or Marv Fish would know for sure. Just a heads up to allow a few extra minutes to get through Aurora. On the postive side...this is an option of something to do on Saturday Afternoon before Saturday nights race.

Tim, you are right about the fair, I really don't think it causes much of a traffic problem though. However, if your coming friday, US 50 gets really congested at rush hour. Might want to get there early. Have a safe trip!!! Dave

Saturday a.m. could produce a bit of a U.S. 50 slowdown through Aurora as folks arrive for the Farmer's Fair parade. They'll be parking along both sides of the highway and walking into town. Also be aware that U.S. 50 from the top of the hill just west of Aurora and on eastward has become something of a speed trap. Limit on the four lane divided highway drops to 45 for no apparent reason and they patrol the heck out of it. Unmarked cars, motorcyle, the whole bit.

The Fair might be something fun for you out of towners to do before gates open Fri. and Sat. nite. Last year Mrs. FB won the tobacco spitting (for distance) contest, good for a one month supply of Mail Pouch . Bring your significant other and try to win a stuffed animal to impress her. Works better than roses, or so I'm told by SHORTBUS. :2:

I have it on pretty good authority (SB) that roses sometimes cause tv remotes to fly

What does the weather look like tomorrow? Have been in a big debate with my co-worker about making the trip.

I've been wondering that myself. Watching the forecast but it keeps changing. Hope I don't drive eight hours to get rained on, but I've got to get out of wing country!
