No,the midget shocks will not extend long enough to mount them on the car.

7" stroke isn't long enough for the front either?

The 7" stroke shocks should be fine for the front, but that depends on the mounting points on the axle and how tall the shock towers are on the frame. The easiest way to determine if the shocks are going to have enough upward travel is to mount the shocks on the axle and fully extend them,if the eye of the heim joint is a couple of inches above the bolt hole in the shock tower you should be fine, but if not the shocks are not long enough and that would result in the car topping out the shocks under power and basically picking the front wheels off the ground all the time.Hope this helps you out.

I have always ran small bodied Pro shocks on the front of my car until last year and my new car had taller shock towers. I have heard that on longer races they don't stay consitant (the oil gets hot) but I havent had any problems. If you have any other questions just private message me and I can try to get you a answer.

In this particular case the problem isn't the fact that the shocks are small bodied,as you said small bodied shocks will work fine, where the potential problem lies is that he wants to use shocks from his midget on a sprint car and I personally don't think the shocks will be long enough to even use on the front.{been wrong before}I know in our case we run both a Bullet midget and Bullet sprint car with Advanced shocks and there's absolutely no way the front shocks off of the midget will work on the front of the sprint car,yes they will mount on the car but there's only about a half an inch of upward shock travel left before the shock is topped out, where as the sprint front shocks have a good 3" of upward travel left before they top out. That is what I was trying to tell him.
