I want to thank all the iron block teams for their support of my parts trailer during the 09 season.
Although, financially it was hard going for all of us,I felt it such a privilage to travel with you,and become friends, taking money out of pocket each week to be there for you all.
Money and circumstances being what they are, I have to reluctantly let the traveling trailer parts sales of CAE Engines cease.
All other sales and machine shop/engine building facilities will continue as before, with hopes that I may still serve many of you getting ready for next year.
I hope next year finds you all racing competitively in your own stable and growing series.
Thank you to all of the people that made this series possible,as well as to the promoters for giving us a place to race.
Congratulation for the championship Craig, you did a great job, buddy.
Also congrats to Joe Varvel and Dave Peperak, what a tremendous year.
Thank you,Bill Fairchild for being there and supplying all the great trophies(including the best CAE Engines trophy dash trophies ever made) you helped this series immensly.
And thank you John Gurly, for taking over and taking on such a difficult task,in the middle of great turmoil. And doing a bang up job in the process.
Thank you all for letting me be a part of scora, God bless
Curt Eldredge

Curt..

You have always been and always will be a part of the SCORA family. Even if you don't have the parts trailer you are always going to be a welcome member of our staff and a good friend of mine. John Gurley

I will agree Curt.... John took over and promoted the races to the bitter end. I enjoyed both SCORA races I attended this year! I look forward to this series continuing in 2010 and will be there to help support it when I can! A good friend of mine is interested in driving a car and he may just start with this series next year!

Best of John & Sam...

JW

right on, Jason.
Originally.......that is exactly what this club was about.to give new guys, as well as the old guys with shallow pocket books , a place to compete amongst themselves for fun, fellowship, and close racing.A place to give guys new to sprint cars, always wanted to try one, and old codgers alike a place to run with the younguns and all (for the most part) be competetive.
Alex Pettas proved a guy could have a very low dollar engine and compete very well. There has also been a 327 cu.in. running extremely well in this series
All things considered, you really have to marvel at 20 to 23 cars showing up for a series that didnt start until late spring, hell, in Jan, it was still just an idea, with so few people knowing or hearing about it.
This has proved that there is a market out there for steel block sprint cars.Even with all the bad press and turmoil this organization put upon itself, there is plenty of cars now, and potentially many more to be built this winter,IF a clear rock solid commitment to a series like this unfolds, and people actually have time to plan for next year.
