***ATTENTION ALL 600 "UPRIGHT" MINI SPRINT OWNERS!!!

This is a question to all 600 upright mini sprint owners. I would like to know how many of you would be interested in being apart of the SCORA program for next year?
I have had a ton of interest in having the 600’s as a support series for the 2010 season. You would be with us at most of the venues that we will be competing at. I am asking this so that I can get feed back from your group on how to proceed with this idea. I have listed below an average of what most guys have given as a good pay out for this class. Please respond to me as soon as you can by sending me a “PM” or posting on this thread and please give your contact info along with your ideas. Thank you for your interest, John Gurley

1.)250 2.) 200 3.)175 4.)150 5.)125 6.)100 7.)75 8.)65 9.)55
10-20.)50 to start
*** PLUS Whatever the pit pass is will be the guaranteed tow money.
Again this is an idea but I need your input!!!

are there that many UPRIGHT 600 sprints around? I have been looking at running a 600 MICRO, but have not heard all that much about 600 UPRIGHT? is this winged or non-winged? thank you

I have only been approached by the "upright" owners so to answere the first question, I'm not sure. The people who I have been contacted by have been racing at Linton and they are a non-wing deal. I know that there has to be some people that post on here that know a heck of a lot more than I do about these cars and I hope they jump in and give me some insight. Thanks for asking though maybe we will learn something together. John Gurley

I think you should go with MMSA. They were with you at Osgood and put on an awesome show. They are going to grow next year, and there are some very deserving and talented drivers in that series. Not sure how many 600 Uprights you would get... You only have 7 at Linton and Salem only run wing cars and has about 15 or so....

This is the input I was looking for. Do you have an idea about purse structure?

Theres alot of cars in ohio. waynesfield gets 15- 20 and 35 gets 10-15. the purse is the same as what 35 pays so thats not a bad purse to start out with. the amsa and mmsa are two groups that can survive on there own, 600s need a deal like this and i think you will get cars

What is the largest track the 600's can compete on safely? I'm just thinking about economics. Keep the ideas comming guys the response has been HUGE to say the least.

Since 600's and 1000's use the same chassis theoretically the 600 would be safer on a bigger track because the speeds would be somewhat slower. Your schedule is pretty spread out so I am not sure you could get a large amount of cars traveling for that purse structure. Dont get me wrong it is decent money if you have a group of cars close to a track, but people will not travel for that money. MMSA pays $1000 to win and $150 to start and I wouldnt travel more than an hour and a half for that. Although travelling with a series like that may draw interest from people wanting exposure, most mini sprint owners are racing a mini sprint because their job and financial situation doesnt allow them to travel all over the place racing. They get one to run affordably at a local track for fun. This is just my $.02.
