The SCORA Sprint Car Series will be running at Morgan County Speedway, Jacksonville, Illinois on Saturday, July 18th with $1000. to win. The PowerI midgets are also part of the program. The SCORA Series has had seven different winners in seven nights. Some of the drivers pre entered are Robbie Shuttleworth, Chase Stockon, Danny Williams Jr., Craig Budde, Ray Kenens, Jimmy Davies, J. C. Bland, Jamie Frederickson, Dave Peperak, Joe Varvel, Adam Beliles, Steve and Al Thomas, Matt Humphrey, Dave Gross, John Barrick, Blake Nimee, Austin Shoemaker, Anthony Loehr, There will be a CAE ENGINES DASH that will pay $100. to win. This is a big night for Central Illinois open wheel fans. There again will be SCORA give aways for the children in attendance. The race schedule Sunday at Shepps Speedway has been cancelled due to a situation at the track. SCORA's next race is at Chandler, Indiana Speedway on Sunday, July 26.

I can't wait to get outta here and head to Jacksonville !!! I've had enough rain to last for months and I want to go rac'n. BRING ON THE SPRINT CARS!!!!!!

25 cars already expected with 6 teams have called with interest..LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!!!

Rumor has it, all of the hotels are sold out in Jacksonville, FYI.

With the two POWRi classes already on the card, plus anywhere near 25 SCORA sprints, this looks to be a great show. And it looks like we're really going to catch a break with Mother Nature this weekend. (God knows she owes us a favor or two.)

And I know some of you don't want to hear about the stock cars, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the modified portion of the weekend. We've been getting roughly 22-25 mods every Friday night, and with Saturday's Feature winner getting a cool $1000 to win, we can expect to see a nice car count.

Any word on the POWRi drivers that will be there?

Since it is a 2 day show for PowrI, I'm sure they all will be there, especially the top 15 in points. And I'm hearing 50-60 600's will be on hand.
