I believe so, Mark. There have been strong rumors for months now. A done deal say some.

Rollie Helmling is a true gentleman. He has handled his position at USAC with a great deal of dignity. I wish to publicly thank him for the guidance and support he has given me over the past two seasons. I for one am proud to call him my friend.

I've known Rollie for quite a few years -- I met him when he was running a VW-powered midget with drivers like Mel Kenyon, Kenny Schrader, and John Andretti. He later put Jeff Gordon in his Pontiac-powered midgets, and also had Tony Stewart in his Scat-powered cars.

I'm quite proud to know that he is my friend.

I didn't know if the link I posted was a joke or it was for real.

On Rollie: I have met him in the midget pits at the track and he was friendly, I don't really know him, but thank him for his service and wish him well in his next endeavor, whatever it may be.
