HEY !!
Don't giive Kevin Gundaker the SNOOZZZZZZZZZZZZE. He promotes the best paying midget race of the year. The $15,000 to win GOLD CROWN NATIONALS in October. Tri-City speedway,Granite City,IL is one of the best maintained racetracks in the country. Come on down and take a look. Don't be suprised if Kevin promotes additional sprint car races this year.................. |

I'd agree with this assesment. But the real beauty of the track prep at Tri City is how they maintain it during the program. At most tracks, re-working the track has become an "either-or" propostion: Either they let it slick off and don't touch it, often leading to a dusty, one-lane huggy pole deal, OR they bring the whole program to a screeching halt while they spend half an hour or more roto-tillering the track from the guardrail to the infield tires. But by simply simply misting the top side of the track before the features, Tri City ensures that there's an equal track for both the rim riders who wish to bounce off the cushion AND the catfishers who do their best work down on the infield tires.
