A few other thoughts from last night.
In the article, Mr. Westfall is mentioned. His efforts did not go unnoticed.
Was a shame that J. Hoover couldn't show up, but he made the right call in being with his dad. I can relate. Also a shame that we didn't get to see him go a couple of rounds with the Sword Man.

Holler at USAC all you want but the product on the track is tough to beat. :28:
Dick Monahan, as I suspected is a cool guy to meet and know. Like Andrew Q., Dick talks a little funny.
Glad Jiggs is back. Hope he can leave....on his own terms next time. If my grandson ever meets Jiggs, he will give him a big hug for the playground if nothing else.
Also glad they got the show in and feel badly for Mason and crew about tonight. The more involved I get with this deal, the more aware I am of what huge gamblers promoters are. People see, for example, a huge crowd at L'burg for the Outlaws and think about how ol' Dave is raking in the dough. But they forget somehow that ol' Dave has lots of bills to pay. And ol' Dave, along with his fellow promoters, puts it on the line most every week. I'd never wish to touch my retirement money but promoters and other racers/gamblers routinely do that.
Bob Clauson likes caramel popcorn. Sword Man shared some with him. Must go good with beer.
Look out, Bloomington.
