The Terre Haute Action Track will host the Union Hospital Classic on Saturday, June 13th featuring SCORA steel block sprint cars and ILMS late models. The show has been combined with the rained delayed Republic Services Don Smith Classic featuring MSCS sprints. Due to limited space in the infield pits all sprint cars will be pitted outside of turn three and four in the old West end pit area. Sprint cars will not have to off load their equipment for this event. The late models will be pitted along the front stretch pits. Late model teams are urged to arrive early to off load their cars and equipment. THAT will have trucks available to help shuttle equipment to the infield pit area.

Pit Gates will open at: NOON
Registration: NOON - 3:00pm
Sprint Pill Draw Closes at: 3:00pm
Drivers Meetings: 3:00pm
Sprint Cars Warm Motors: 3:30pm
Hot Laps Begin: 4:00pm

Order of Events:

MSCS Hot Laps
ILMS Hot Laps
SCORA Hot Laps

MSCS Heat Races
ILMS Heat Races
SCORA Heat Races

MSCS B-Main
(THAT will start up to 24 cars in the SCORA & ILMS A-Mains, so NO B-Mains are anticipated for SCORA or ILMS)

*Safety Break for the sun to set. Heat race trophy presentations. Track prep.

SCORA A-Main (20 laps)
ILMS A-Main (20 laps)
MSCS A-Main (30 laps - $3,000 to win)

**Any sprint car with a steel block will be allowed to compete in both the MSCS & SCORA races.**

Pretty simple actually. MSCS is open to aluminum or steel block sprint cars. SCORA is a steel block only series. They must register and draw for MSCS and SCORA to compete in both. One pit pass. Two paydays. The schedule has been set up to have the late models racing between the two sprint car programs to allow for refueling, tearoffs, adjustments, etc. A driver can bring two cars, one aluminum and one steel block, one for each series or one steel block car can be run in both.

I get it, the concept is easy, but both series agreed to this?

To answer your question, yes. MSCS lost their date on May 2nd to rain. It was rescheduled at the next available date which was the June 13th SCORA/ILMS race. There are some drivers who race with SCORA and MSCS. It would be unfair to the drivers, their fans and each series to make those drivers choose one series over the other for that date. Some drivers had planned to race in both events when they were on separate dates.

Both series are working together on this show. We have been in contact with one another on several occasions. We will have a combined drivers meeting. We are sharing the same pits. They are using the same push trucks. MSCS will be sharing one of their scorers and their flagman with SCORA.

Will you be at THAT on June 13th Trent?

Folks,

Please note the tow money ruling handed down by THAT last week. You can find it on SCORA's web page.

Due to this ruling we have opted to run the SCORA event only.
