The SCORA Steel Block Sprint Car Series has a double header this weekend. They will be at Kankakee, Illinois on Friday, May 29 and Kamp Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 30. The first two features were won by Craig Budde at Charleston and J. T. Stapp at Flora. Stapp leads the points at this time. Car count should pick up this weekend with some new Illinois racers already signed up.

The SCORA sprint car series is a steel block only series and will remain so.

As with any new venture it is experiencing growing pains with car counts. We have had 14 drivers participate in the first two races of the season and we have four new racers commited to the Kankakee Co. Speedway Friday, May 29th. The racing has been fantastic and we look forward to bigger and better shows as the season progresses.

This weekend will feature a double header at Kankakee, IL with a guaranteed $150 tow money, then followed by Saturday, May 30th at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, IN.

We thank those who have supported us so far and look forward to seeing more of the drivers who have shown an interest in a more affordable venue to race sprint cars. The pre-registration requirement has been dropped for SCORA races. All drivers who sign in before the pill draw closes will draw for a heat race starting position and receive 20 show up points. See the www.SCORAracing.com web site for more details.

As usual, there will be givaways during the driver's meeting.
