this was posted by carey fox the track photographer

Stopped by Lincoln Park on the way to work today and there was a good sized crew working to get everything set for Saturday. Grass was being mowed and the track had already been smoothed and was getting ready to be re-cut around 2 p.m. Didn't look bad from my perspective. From going by last week and checking it out, pretty remarkable how much progress had been made in getting things ready for tomorrow. Hope to see a lot of old friends there!

Track was nice and the racing was good but everything else was bad IMO. Had 3 push trucks working the track in, then when it came time to push of the sprint cars only 1, they finally got a few 2 more to help push. Tow truck, well if you want to call a F150 with a solid metal boom and what looked to me a small winch (which appeared to be to small for anything) that thing was a joke. it took forever for them to hook a car up and then by the end of the modified feature which they ran first they were just using a come-a-long from the boom of the truck to the car, what a joke. It took them like 15 mins to seperate 2 cars. Took forever for them to line cars back up. one guy would tell two cars something then another one something else.

I think its funny how you can raise ticket cost to $13 but you cant pay someone min. wage to sweep all the leaves out of the bathrooms. it doesnt even look like they even touched the bathrooms since last season. But then again we are talking about someone that doesnt know what weed killer is either. It would be amazing how much better the track would look if they just did a little TLC to the stands, concession, and bathrooms. I mean what, we are talking maybe a couple hundred dollars in paint, weed killer, and cleaning supplies. That track could be a premier track once again if they would just put some TLC into it as long as the actual track conditions stay like there were tonight. That was one of the best race surfaces i have seen there in a long time. Well i guess thats enough of a rant. My saturdays will be spent at the burg or VCS.
