Actually called the Cincinnati Race Bowl. I saw my first open wheel race there, a AAA sanctioned midget event in the early 50's, with my Dad. Both are gone.
I drive past the former site often. There's no sign remaining that I can see, just a Walmart and smaller businesses.
There are lotsa good stories from that joint. Let's hear it, IOWers!

I have a brief Track History and many of the AAA/USAC Midget results posted at my web site. I also recently purchased a few photos off of E-bay which will be added soon. It was closed (1958) before I was born.

Duke, I only remember the Mutual(Roaring Roadsters)bunch, running at Columbus, In, when I was maybe 8-10 yrs old, they ran on Thursday nite, here, I think Franklin, In, on Wed, then went "outa town" the rest of the week. A lotta folks around here, followed them everywhere, but we weren't financially able to, we were lucky to get to Columbus, maybe 8-10 times a season, and Franklin once in a while. Those were some dandy racers, and some good times, loved to hear those Rangers, rattle, and whine, and if they quit rattleing, they suddenly started smoking real bad, Roy Prosser, Red Amick, "Crash" Crockett, to name a few, I "hung out" at Dan Walls shop, he sure built a mean 6 cyl, flatdead Ford! Bob:cheers
