Duke,
Sunday night at Volusia County, I couldnt find one driver who was going. They all said they weren't allowed. ********......in 79 I don;t remember BS like that, just trying to get Rocky Fisher to pay us. Maybe that was 78.

20 cars is good since they have already had nine nights of 410 racing in Florida (All Stars & WOO). Running 11 nights in 14 days is agressive and expensive. Don't worry non-wing fans, 410 wing racing is alive and well. Wait until they get to Silver Dollar (Chico) in March, they will have 70 cars each night. The other races at Tulare & Ocean will have over 40.

East Bay is notorious for low purses and poor track conditions. And then there's the bridge burning with the All-Stars a few years ago, that might have something to do with drivers "not allowed" to go.

70 cars at Chico is laughable. Chico will top out at 50. 40 for Watsonville and Tulare sounds right.

By the way, did they ever get that DOT deal straightened out down there? I know that has been an issue for a while? Thanks! Bob

It is the Woo that has in contract that member teams can not run non sanctioned shows unless granted approval. I believe the Woo allowed teams to run the All Star shows at Ocala and Volusia and that is it. The All Stars have no restrictions on where their teams can run.

While there was not a large field that stuck around at East Bay there was quite a few big hitters and reading the results it sounded like a great show last night. How about Jeff Bland finishing 6th!

The All-Stars have no offical restrictions on where their drivers run, but don't make Webb mad or he'll cut you off from your tow money. That's what happened to Brian Paulus last year when he took his wife & newborn daughter to his wife's parents home to be baptized.
