I just read about this on espn.com and saw the video on youtube.com. The accident occurred Saturday night in Costa Rica. It was his final attempt of the night...just a sad, sad story. He was rushed to a hospital, but I guess his condition worsened on Monday and he had too much swelling in his brain...he passed away this morning at 24 years old. You have to respect these guys...thank goodness they are good enough that this is just a freak thing and it doesn't happen too often. Lusk apparently had an accident performing this same jump back in 2007 and commented that he had not tried it too much since because the accident kind of scared him...fear is not a good thing to have in this kind of game.
