...After Knox, I was kinda thinking maybe a retirement announcement be coming.* Time will tell.* The Schatz family owned their own team before he drove for TSR.
Why would you go with Madsen ? Good driver , but the sport has good young to older talent that would be better. This could only be until the end of the season when someone else could be picked.

He’s a veteran driver who’s driven for him before. He’ll be easier on equipment than a young gunslinger. My guess would be that Tony just wants some good results to get through the year, without tearing up a lot of stuff. Collect his owner points money, cash out at end of season, and close up shop.
At Knoxville last week the prevailing rumor was that Stewart was folding the WoO team at the end of the 2025 season, once the contracts with the sponsors were completed. I think completing sponsorship contracts is the primary reason you are seeing Madsen going in to the seat. Madsen is a veteran driver who is personable and has some wins this year, so he will be a contender and is sponsor friendly.
If Tony doesn't close up the team, I'd have to wonder, with Tony's drag racing connections now; if Geo would end up running a season in it?
It will be a shame if Donny doesn't run the Brian Brown car at Knox on Aug 23. I'd have to think it would be perfect for Casey's, the other sponsors, keep the crew guys at the track, etc.
This seems like the most likely possibility. I wondered how long Tony would keep the WoO team going after he stopped racing the 14. The selling the All Stars. The writings been on the wall.
Unless he has some sponsorships (And he has several many that have been with him for years That will cover most of the cost to run more seasons.. I can see him selling off. His interest seems now are him, his wife and top fuel and drag racing teams, Eldora, a few other investments
He still loves Indycar, Still loves nascar and was always a sprint and midget guy Still runs a TQ once in awhile.
The logistics of running shops and teams look to be more than a family man wants. Eldora and Drag racing Where he's at.
and of all of it is the ******** and Franchise crap is probably more than its worth. High limits already doing it and WoO I see no different. Reminder WoO has gone bankrupt twice.
