Who wants to bet Bacon ties the record tonight?

Side note: Last night was the first 360 feature Messeraull hasn't made. He's actually been going pretty good down there. Last night's field was beyond stacked.

Someone told me the crowd was terrible. Anyone have any further info on that?

Did they attend or watch on Flo? If your judging crowd size off of Flo, then yes it looked empty. You could put a couple thousand people in there and they all go to the top under the covered portion and you never see them on the TV. While the camera followed the cars down the front stretch you could see the lower portion was empty and only a few that were sitting maybe 10 rows up.

The place holds a little over 21,000 people.

There were 45 360s there last night. They normally race for $2000 to win, $350 to start. I couldn't find anything that the purse was more last night. Think they backgated themselves?

How much did USAC race for? The preview article on the website doesn't say.

Bill W's story said the winners take was 2g...(doens't mention anything else).

But ya, hopefully they made $ off the back gate; and also that there were people in the stands you could not see on FLO.

I was at the race and I didn't sit in the bleachers. There were a couple hundred people watching from the Museum's 2nd floor and the 2 dozen suites.

We attended the USAC races at Knoxville a couple or 3 years ago. Friday night there were probably less than 1000 people in the stands. Saturday night when USAC was paired with the Knoxville 410’s, there was probably 2000-2500 people in the stands. Apparently the 360’s and USAC are not much of a draw out there.

That’s not what I said. I simply asked if what you heard came from someone that was there or watching on Flo. I was not there. Place is huge and from TV you’d think it was empty. From Bart’s view tonight , I’d have to say that is a poor looking crowd.
