Debating a trip to the Little 500 on Saturday. weather looks good at the moment. I've never been. How high up should one be to avoid infield obstructions? Appears there isn't a bad seat there from what I've seen, but sometimes the bottom rows are a bit obstructed. Thx!

I've sat in about every section at Anderson. Love the backstretch, Section O! Wall seems to be lower and the cars coming off turn 2 look like they're coming right at you. AND, all the pit stops are right in front of you. Backstretch rocks!

Rained off and on all day at Anderson. On practice at all. New schedule for Thursday:
Practice (extended) 11:30-2:45
Qualifying 3:00-5:00
I believe grandstand admission is free on Thursday

There are very few bad seats. That said, there are a few more NASCAR people in attendance every year. By that I mean the number of people who stand inappropriately grows larger every. At least in section B on the front stretch that is the case. Can't speak for other areas but where we're at be prepared to put up with it or for combat.
Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

I rarely, if ever, see people standing at the Little 500. I've never had to tell anyone to sit down. Not sure how you can prove more NASCAR fans are going. More RACE FANS are going.
