I agree with everyone. 6 or 7 classes? 8pm starts? (which probably means 8:15 racing) Features running after 11pm. Fans with kids up late. Employees staying late. Teams getting out of the track late. Neighbors upset. I'm a die-hard race fan, but I'll pass. And not bring along the 3 other race fans that might want to go.
I understand everyone's apprehension but every time I've went to CC they've ran a very fast and efficient program. Weather is supposed to be great. I no longer live in Indiana so I'm not as lucky as some others. I think some people forget how good they have it. Bloomington and Kokomo run part time schedules now. Gas City is closed. The last thing I wanna see is another track struggle.
Sometimes, in situations like this, not every division has 30 cars in it; so ideally some of the events go by quickly with a limited amount of heat races (we could all look up from their results Sunday and kind of get an idea maybe...if it's some of the same classes...).
I suspect the 8pm race time start is to help the racers get there in time for hot laps; after work...
Just saying, last season we pulled it off just find, and this past Sunday ran 6 classes.
We ran 14 heat races, 6 features in 3 hours.
There were race cars on track nearly every minute (unless track work), with little down time.
Love jrp4554 post above (a least some notice the crews great work).....and notice lots of likes,
sometimes gotta let actions do your talking )
Keep in mind the karts run smaller venue, fasten your seat belts and hold on.....

Chuck i've been to about 75% of the sprint shows there since they opened. They arent any faster getting a show in than anyone else. Right now it 5 till 8 and they are qualifying the third class. They have hostile neighbors complaining to the city about the noise. Tell me does running a 7 class show and starting qualifying at 8 make sense to you?
