Saw Tanner at the USAC season kickoff party last night. He said between his career job, family obligations and traveling from CA, he knew it was time to step away from racing. After he won last year's Oct Silver Crown race at IRP, he thought that was the end. That's why he got so emotional.

For those with a Facebook account, if you search his name, he has a very detailed retirement message. He lists all his career stats, team owners and cars driven. Amazing accomplishments for literally becoming a part time driver in his final years. Well done Tanner! 🏁

Tanner Swanson is an absolute terror at IRP, something I hope he is proud of. When he was on the entry list, everyone had to pay attention as he was one of the guys they would have to outrun!
