I can't believe so many sprint cars teams are willing to race for 1,500 to win.

The racing I seen, Had nothing to do with $$$ Moles and Seavey in a throwdown. The third thru sixth, in another throw down and even the 15-16 were battling for not last.

I know how posts about The Burg rattle your chain (trust me I wasn't trying). I never questioned the quality of the racing, re read my post slowly.

You didn't rattle my chain. Was just stating that was great!

Up until last year or so he was paying the best purse in the state. I know it cost more to run there. Half a dozen racers have told me so. He's still charging least to get in both pit and general admission. As I've said before. I don't have the answers. I talked with people years ago about having a 3k to win 300 normal purse and You'll still have semi locals travel to PA or Mo to race.

To be a promoter today. Really, I give em all props.

Amazes me how people only talk about how much a race pays to win.

When I see this type of conversation, I think about the guys running in the middle and back of the field. To most of them getting $1500.00 at the pay window would probably feel like winning the lottery.

It's not the front winners that are cause the smaller and smaller fields. It's the guys racing for the love of it knowing they are going to be "also rans" most weeks who can no longer look their families in the eyes while spending what it takes to just show up each week to run for start money.
