After decades in the midwest I have three decades around Bridgeport
It might be good to be through with your drive down 476 -- the highway towards the speedway across the Philly suburbs -- before about 2:30 p.m. wednesday. 476 gets trafficky going south on weekday afternoons. You might not expect traffic going toward Philadelphia in the afternoon but it's clockwork. May also see traffic on the mile or two of 95 south you take after 476 to get to commodore barry bridge but its just a mi or two on 95. Speedway within a few mi of bridge on jersey side.
2nd Johns Seafood 4 MI north of the track will do a really nice local crab cake... I have no connection to that business just a fan.. open all day can call an order in.
Third if you're not there working and you can hang around for the Bridgeport modifieds, they put on a show.
Road update. A bridge carrying all Lanes of 95 North collapsed over the weekend, but it is approximately 20 mi north of the path to Bridgeport coming from Grandview or the west..
