Track is on my bucket list and a two day midget show is perfect for me. My question is who will not be there because of the Lawrenceburg sprint race. I know Bacon Windom who would be others. Thanks

Justin Grant and KTJ if he stays in the Reinbold-Underwood midget for the season.

It just dawned on me USAC scheduling two classes on the same day at different tracks. Has this ever happened before?

Yes. About 100 times. However, this year’s midget races at West Memphis are not points races. The Sprint races at Lawrenceburg are points races.

It used to be common to have midget and sprints scheduled opposite each other. That’s why it was so rare for anyone to win all 3 championships in the same season.

I am sure it has to do with an off weekend from Nascar for Ricky Stenhouse, but it does damper the excitement of the show. Like others, I have the ditch on my bucket list, but I think I will pass on this one.
