This car was built in Indiana by Johnny Paul after he bought out Kurtis Kraft and did not number his chasis. The only history we know was it ran with CORA the only driver we know of was Jim Hines when the car was owned by John Davidson and Virgil Ozbun out of Muncie. We got the car from Virgil after being stuck in the corner of his shop. The only thing we updated was re-chroming the car. There are some spares available ; gears, engine parts, bumper, radius rods.

You should enter it in the upcoming winter indoor races. I would have NO PROBLEM strapping in and driving it! :thumb My Dad owned and raced a Solar V8-60 back in the day.

After talking to Jim Hines himself we have been informed that he didn't drive this car. He thinks it was a copy of a 1952 kurtis of Vergil Welch's that he drove but we are not positive.

Virgil Welch, now there's a blast from the past. I think he used to campaign a USAC sprint car for awhile. I seem to remember a red and white #61. Rich Leavell drove it? Not sure, it was a long time ago.
