Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series
BOSS Adds Tennessee Doubleheader October 16-17 Now in its tenth season of race promotions, the MPD Racing - Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series has scheduled races in Ohio and every surrounding state. Now, in unprecedented move, the tour will travel outside of its normal market to end the season for two nights of racing the NORTH-SOUTH Mason Dixon Challenge at Mountain View Raceway in Spring City, Tennessee. Southern Outlaw Promotions' owner, Wayne Davis, reached out with the offer to co-sanction with his Southeastern Sprint Series. With a short 2020 schedule amid a pandemic, these unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. After consulting with all the full time BOSS teams, it was agreed that 2 nights of racing, in hopefully better weather, was better than one night in mid October. This will be the final 2 points paying events of the 2020 BOSS season and both nights will run under BOSS rules and format. The Friday, October 16th show will pay $2,000 to win and $400 to start while the Saturday, October 17th event will pay $3,000 to win and $400 to start. As with every BOSS event, there will be heat race cash and seven bonus awards up for grabs both nights. Thanks to heat race sponsors TCB Speed, Hoosier Race Tires, Hawk Brakes and ARP Fasteners, heat races pay: 40, 30, 20, 10 and $50 bonus awards will be for the Bridge Restaurant "hard charger", Accu-Force Dynos & Testers "hard luck", Apple Metal Polishing "lucky pill draw", All Pro Cylinder Heads "perseverance", All Star Performance "sweet move" and the Cowen Truck Line "highest finishing steel engine block". Finally, the main event winner will take home the Hoosier Tire bonus, a free tire certificate courtesy of Hoosier Tire Midwest. Joining the BOSS and Southeastern Sprint Series on the card will be the Southern States Midget Series and the Southern States 600 mini sprint series. One support class from Mountain View Raceway may be added each night as well. Watch for details forthcoming on gate times, admission fees and more. A special hotel rate has been set up for race teams at the Spring City Howard Johnson for just $74 plus tax per night. To make a reservation, call (423) 365-9191 and be sure to let them know you are in town for the races at Mountain View Raceway. The race track will allow teams to unhook and leave trailers inside the facility overnights with security present. Don't forget, BOSS has a doubleheader weekend before this finale. Friday, September 25th is the make-up event at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan with a follow-up event the next night at Fremont Speedway where BOSS teams up with FAST on Dirt for their only dual appearance of the season September 26th!
