Nice page but I don't understand the average finish stats. IMHO an average finish stat should only include those races where they actually ran the feature event. For example, Matt Moore attempted all 4 races but has yet to run a feature. So his average finish should be 0, not 33.8. Shane Cottle's average finish should be 7, not 16.

The other thing that struck me is a reminder how little $$$ these guys make to entertain us. 4 races and no one has even made $10,000 yet. Brian VanMeveran has run 3 features and made a whopping $975 and been upside down twice now. Definitely not a money making week.

Not bad for only making one show. He’s ran three features with two of them taking provisionals to start.

When I enter a races result, for my ratings purposes, I enter a position for everyone, 1 to the number of cars there. So the 'average finish' is based on that. I'll look into it, to see if it's easy for me to calculate the 'Average A-main finish'.

For VanMeveren, even though he ran 3 features, like JMA1151 states, 2 of those are with taking a provisional, and you forfeit the start money ($500), and only get the money paid for furthering your position. I assume you still get the $150 you would get for show-up money. He got a tough break at Lawrenceburg, looked strong in his heat and qualified for the feature. But got collected in someone else's mess.

"how little $$$ these guys make to entertain us"....
Absolutely...especially since its usually more entertaining than winged cars, which pays AT LEAST twice as much

I have added a 'Avg Feature Finish' column.

I look at Brady Bacons stats and shake my head. 4 races, 4 top 10s and 3 top 5s including a 2nd place.

He’s had success against the best competition wingless sprints can offer and made $5350. That’s a little more than $1300 per race.

Also looking at the winged guys, obviously extreme example but Brad Sweet is over $400k already.
