Hopefully that the reschedule racing events for the smackdown will happen Sunday. But I was thinking out loud and if it would happen to be postpone I think that it would be great to see a 3 day weekend show with gas city reschedule events on the the 28th. And the burg $ 10, 000 to win show on Saturday the 29th. And then the smackdown finals on Sunday. That would be a great fall festivals of racing events for the great racing fans. Thanks.

Smackdown postponed until September 27th

Lingering rains from tropical storm Gordon that has wreaked havoc on Indiana has forced Kokomo Speedway & USAC to make the third attempt to complete the Sprint Car Smackdown 7. The Thursday night event will feature the USAC Sprint Cars & BOSS Sprint Cars (non point event).

Fans must still hold on to their wristbands for admission on the 27th. All event times will be posted in the next few days.

I sure hope they get SmackdownVII in tomorrow but I’m not optimistic. Twitter has been really quite on the topic from both the track and USAC.
Speaking of fall events, the world 100 got postponed till October 12th and 13th in front of the WOO there on the 14th. World 100 is an event that I’m spite of it being full body cars, is as good as it gets. Heat races are more than worth the price of admission. Now we get that and the WOO. My only concern is after 2 nights of 100 Late Models, how many laps do you think it will take the track to get rubbered down single lane for the sprints. Used to be back in the day Earl would have the grader out on the track before the pits were even clear on a multi day show. Haven’t seen that in a while
