Gage Walker Prepared to Build on 2017 Success at Chili Bowl
By Jessica Jenkins

Last year when Gage Walker stepped into the River Spirit Expo Center, his previous best Chili Bowl showing was 2016's Saturday D Main after everything went right on his qualifying night until the A Feature. This year the racer from Fairland, IN walks into Tulsa with the confidence of a strong qualifying night that put him in Saturday's B Main, missing the big show by only four spots. As he and his #7x team unload next week for the biggest national midget race of the year, it will be his fifth appearance to make a run at the Golden Driller.

Walker's qualifying night is back on Thursday again for 2018 before joining the full field of 350 cars and counting on Saturday. Naturally the 20 year old hopes to ride the momentum from a year ago straight into Saturday's premier feature for a chance to hold the coveted trophy. Monday is a full day of practice at the Expo Center and on Thursday hot laps roll off at 4pm Central Time followed by racing at 5pm. On Saturday the racing action kicks off at 10am local time before opening ceremonies take place at 6pm leading into the main features of the night. Racinboys.com will have live pay per view all week long leading into MAVTV's broadcast taking over live at 7:30pm Saturday.

Stay tuned to Walker's Facebook page @GageWalkerRacing and Twitter @GageWalker7 to see how this personable future star fares in his fifth try at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
