On September 16 we wrapped up our season with the Bettenhaus*en Memorial at Grundy County Speedway. We welcomed back the MWR racing team with Danny Pens and Rook*ie Ryan Shikulski pi*loting two of their cars. Probst came off a successful Labor Day weekend with wi*nning the feature bo*th nights and almost sweeping the entire weekend. He set fast time followed by Caskey, then Fenske and Finley ran the sa*me qualifying time. Pens took the lead early on in the fast heat with a hard cha*rging field right be*hind him all 8 laps and Eyman was the wi*nner of the slow hea*t. Eyman took the le*ad off the start of the feature but Fens*ke made her move to take the lead follow*ed by Probst, with 11 laps to go Adrien and Orseske tangled into the wall causing a red, but thankfu*lly both are okay. Three other cautions came out before the checkered flag was thrown with Fenske, Probst, Pens, Caskey, and Koerner rounding out the top 5.

Congratulations to Ryan Probst, your 20*17 Illini Midgets Ch*ampion!! Followed by Caskey in second, Koerner, Fenske, Finl*ey, Orseske, and Adr*ien.
