What's the deal with the Dirtcar sprints? How many cars were racing last year? Why not go with the Racesaver package and give Indiana two weekly racetracks that support the one set of rules?
I'm sure there are financial, political, and other reasons. But it seems crazy to try and start up two spec wing sprint classes in one area that massively prefers wingless. The car count would probably be 20+ per night on Saturday's. Bloomington got 17 or 18 Racesavers on a few Fridays last year.
Not trying to start anything, just curious as to why there is a split.

Ok, interesting. I know Bloomington pays $600 to win and I think $150 to start for the Racesavers. But the low payout is intentional on the Racesavers from its inception with French Grimes I think. If I'm remembering correctly the point was to keep low winning pay in exchange for higher pay down through the results. And also the idea was that a low payout would keep people from spending stupid money to "buy" wins, but I think that happens regardless.
Either way, I'm invested in the racesaver deal so I'm obviously a bit biased. However I would really like to have more options for Indiana tracks to race at, especially on Saturday's.
Would a 602 and 305 be comparable in speed on track? Maybe host an open night for no points kind of thing.
