Caught the opening act for both SOD and Hartford Speedway. Ryan Ruhl showed them all the way around the place, again, using a 360 engine. On another note, some big SOD hitters went down with car probs - Brett Mann, defending series chaml Gregg Dalman, and Brad Lamberson.

The track has been widened this year by moving the inside line further in, creating a wide, flat bottom. For the sprints it was rarely used as everyone stayed further upstairs, but for the modifieds it was used quite a bit. This will be a great track for mods this year and they have a big $3,000-to-win race next Friday.

HUGE crowd, too. Hats off to the track for bringing it back to the forefront for us fans up here. Big brand new scoreboard, too. A tower/totem pole - type deal with bright red LEDs. We were wondering if the old scoreboard is in a Hall of Fame somewhere now - or the Smithsonian next to a brontosaurus.

On to Butler tonight.

Where's the aspirin....?

It's currently sitting in the back in the junk pile. Trying to come up with some way to repurpose it.

Thanks for coming!
