The Midwest Lightning Midget Series is excited to announce the first annual Fred Tinder Classic to be held at Chandler Motor Speedway in Chandler Indiana on June 17, 2016.

The Tinder family, Jeff and Jay Tinder sons of Fred Tinder along with close family friend Scott Osborn wanted to put together an event in honor of a lifelong race fan that introduced us all to this great sport of midget racing. Jay Tinder is the co-founder and president of the Midwest Lightning Midget Series.

We would like to thank the promoters and staff at the Chandler Motor Speedway for allowing us to hold this great event at your track.

Details are being put together for what should be one of the main events for the Midwest Lightning Midget Series during its inaugural season. The winner of this event will be receiving a very nice trophy in addition to additional purse money being added to this event. We will be updating the purse as we bring in additional sponsors.


Currently we are seeking sponsors to make this great race even bigger. No sponsor is too big or too small. We are also looking for lap sponsors for this race for just $10 dollars you can sponsor a lap. This is a great way to honor a race fan that is or was a part of your life. You will also get to pick what lap you are sponsoring first come first serve on reserving your lap. This is definitely a big event for me. I'm driving out from Lenexa, KS, near Kansas City, to come out for this race. I hope that we can make this a huge annual event for the drivers and fans. Come out and support this race, as it also helps Chandler Speedway. We need to keep our dirt tracks going strong.

Jeff Tinder - The Fan Upstairs

Three additional awards has been added to the Fred Tinder Classic at the Chandler Motor Speedway on the June 17th race.

Jeff Tinder is adding a $25 bonus for the highest finishing chain drive car. He is also giving out a $25 Bonus for the highest finishing TQ car.

The Midwest Lightning Midget series is also adding a $25 hard charger bonus for this event.

We are actively working on some other exciting awards to be announced soon.


Update on the lap sponsors for the Fred Tinder Classic race at Chandler Motor Speedway on Friday June 17th. For just 10 dollars you can sponsor one of the laps. Both individuals and businesses are welcome to sponsor as many laps as you would like to sponsor. You can put the lap under someone's or business name or remain anonymous. Please send a PM if you are interested in sponsoring a lap(s) We are slowly picking up lap sponsors. If the winner was to lead every lap they could win at least 750 if we can fill up all these spots.
