Just a quick 'attaboys' to Justin Grant and Larry Gardner and crew for their efforts at this year's Chili Bowl. Given the rough start they encountered (a blown motor) and the limited manpower they show up with, it is truly a testament to the family atmosphere of open wheel racing that they were able to make it all the way in to the A Main.
Everyone who knows Larry can vouch for his love of and dedication to the sport, and he has one the best in his seat. Justin is one of the all-too-uncommon good guys who drives to win in every event he participates in.
Good job Larry. Good job Justin. Good job crew. The underdogs of big-time midget racing have much to be proud of this year.

Outstanding effort, Gotta love the racing family. Travis Welpott pulling the engine from the spare and making arrangements to get it delivered. Jay Mason and Scott Campbell working the wrenches getting it installed. Justin up on the wheel getting it done. To bad they got "Sammy'd". Possibly the only car out there using a mag.

Agree on the atta boy for JG. Also great that we, in Indiana, get to see many of the guys who made the Chili Bowl A main on a weekly or routine basis: Grant, Cottle, Coons, Hines, Clauson, etc. we are very fortunate.
