Announced tonight at Eldora: $100,000 purse increase for the 2016 Kings Royal. Still $50,000 to win, but now $20,000 for 2nd, $10,000 for 5th, $5000 for 10th, $3000 to start. $1000 for the first non-transfer, and $500 to start the B!

Good move for the teams. This event has been trending in the right direction in terms of car count the last few years and this should only help. I'd like to see the same with the Dream and World. It wasn't all that long ago that I remember going to the World and they had something like 186 cars there and the Dream would pull in 140 to 150.

I was at the Dream and the World in 97 and 98 and they had over 220 cars each time. It's sure dropped from that nowadays.

I honestly wish they could have a yearly NW race with half that purse down the line. 25k win, 10k second. 1500 15-20th and 500 first non transfer.

I wish they could at least get back to 120. Say what you want about late model racing, but the format they have is the best in racing. Nowhere else do you basically get to see 8 A main size and quality races before they run the actual feature.
