Saturday’s USAC Auto Value Sprint race at Salem Speedway, part of the “Eddie Gilstrap Motors Legends Classic” program, has been cancelled due to the adverse weather forecast. The remainder of the racing program remains on Saturday's schedule at the half-mile oval. The Auto Value Sprints now prepare for their June 6 appearance at the Kalamazoo (Mich.) Speedway.
This doesn't surprise me. The Must See race at Anderson had 12 cars, and I counted 38 people in the stands. Seems like pavement is hurting everywhere. Open wheel and fenders.
must see runs in mich. sat and that is closer for the northern teams at a track not nearly the motor stretching as salem. throw in usac and wow, no salem. and by the way,cra and outlaw lates had the joint packed in toledo april.they have grandstands there, not bleachers.just depends on where ya go.lil 5 looked stout.

Why can't they just be honest and say they know they will not have many cars and don't think they would put on the quality of show that represents USAC racing at its best? Fans can respect that a lot more than smoke and mirrors.

Yep. Davey did just that for postponed(cancelled?) King of the Wing Western Series race in March at Madera and everybody was ok with it. So your short on cars? Just say so. No big deal.
