With the field set for Anderson Speedway’s 67th Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW GM, Mel Kenyon Midget Series Alumni hold 4 of the top seven starting spots. The starting line-up for the 500 lap sprint car race will feature the traditional 11 rows of three cars.

Caleb Armstrong occupies the outside of the front row. 2013 and 2014 race champion Jacob Wilson will start from the inside of row two. Kyle Hamilton will start alongside Wilson in the 5th slot. Chris Windom will take the green from the inside of the 3rd row.

Both Hamilton and Windom won Mel Kenyon Midget Series Championships, with Hamilton also claiming the 2009 USSA Midget Championship as well. Armstrong and Wilson paid visits to victory lane in the Mel Kenyon Midget Series.

Reigning Pay Less Little 500 Champion Wilson remembers his time is a Kenyon Midget fondly. “One of the most important lessons learned, for me, was how to pass on the outside at Anderson Speedway. The Kenyon Midgets are all so even that it was a very tough place to pass. That has been a big part of the success I’ve had in the Little 500,” Wilson explained.

Bobby Santos III earned the pole position for Saturday’s Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM. Rookie Kody Swanson will fill out the front row starting between Santos and Armstrong.

2014 USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Champion Chris Neuenschwander and 2013 USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Champion Aaron Pierce complete the line-up in the third row starting in 8th and 9th.

The spectator gates for the 67th running of Anderson Speedway’s Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM at 4:00 PM on Saturday May 23. The fan appreciation autograph session will begin at 6:00 and the command to start the engines will be given at 8:00.
