I thought I read earlier where he had a broken shoulder,or collar bone. Saw a still photo on an Australian racing facebook page where the cage came down on the left side,and his arm was hanging out the right hand side of the cage.
I'd say he was lucky he didnt get hurt worse than he did from the reports I got.......

Good news that Zac Daum was released from Westmead Hospital last night. He sustained a broken collarbone from Saturday night's crash and will be resting up for a few days before heading back to the US on Friday. Thanks to everyone for your concerns and prayers during this time.
