why the 4x from the 44....3 reasons...1st and foremost I wanted to honor a great friend Charles Hatch #4 that I was able to race with on many occasions back in the '70s and '80s while he is fit and able (76) to see it go round the track. He is a great friend and taught me alot back in the day....the X...Tommy Denton sprint car was "X" for many many years in his illustrious sprint car career and he will be driving it most of the 2015 season. Then the ...4x...the famous Speedway Motors sprint car made famous by what I and most consider the "BEST" open wheel racer of all time...Jan Opperman...there now you have it.....hope we can be just a smidgen as good as these guys were and I feel very confident with the "X" man behind the wheel, the 4x will taste victory early and often in 2015.

Kind of a tribute to a somewhat more accomplished Jones; everybody knows Parnelli carried #98 on all the cars he drove for Aggie but it may be a little less known that his relationship with future Super Team partner Vel Miletich began with Rufous wheeling Vel's Ford-sponsored Stock Cars and, most successfully the yellow Vel's T-bird Modified, all with the number 97. 98 is so popular I figured I'd do something just a little more subtle as an homage to one of my heroes...
