Vince was a great guy, after running mini sprints in Peru for a number of years, he was in his 3rd year of running sprints at old Kokomo. He hopped a wheel in turn 3 and that was that...rarely in my life have I met someone as kind and positive as Vince. He helped us get our mod going with parts, and plain old encouragement...never had a bad word to say about anyone. We worked together at Delco, and he was a damn fine Tool engineer. Always a good time, he was always joking and fun to be around. Before his accident he was talking about going to PA to run some late season nw races-guess he got to run at the big dirt oval in the sky-all I can say is that he was one hell of a person, husband, and racer...man I sure miss him.

Thank you so much shamrock.
So many times, there are memorial races and fans & people are so complacent not knowing the background & why they are done.
I have always felt it important.
Let their marks, memories and contributions to our sport never fade.

I want to thank you publicly for the contribution. I sincerely appreciate it. I have been a fan of open wheel since I was a pup but not local to Kokomo. Born & raised here in e. central Illinois. Although I go Kokomo quite a bit now.
God bless you & yours

Simply put Vince was a good dude. Always had a smile on his face & never said a bad word about anybody. I always chuckled when he referred to me as "Brother Bob". He is missed very much by many.
