Heck of a race. Andretti led the first 4 laps. Leary dove low in turn 3 to pass Andretti but Moffatt went in between both to pass for the lead. That was the pass of the year IMHO. About 12 laps in Leary made the pass for the lead and Grant passed Moffatt for 2nd. Lap 15ish Cody Gardner spun in turn 1, John Race slowed to miss and Grant ran over the right rear of Race's car but both were able to continue. After the green fell Leary pulled away. With less than two to go Grant was slowing with handling problems and was eventually passed by Moffatt in the final corner.
Not sure if anyone had anything for Leary, even Grant in a healthy car.
Abel, Westerfeld and Simon all drove excellent races. Abel in particular looked like he was gaining confidence with each lap and might have had something for Westerfeld at the end.
Heil, Westerfeld and Leary was your heat winners.
20 sprint cars showed up.
Sprint checker fell at 8:35.
Many kudos to Dave Rudisell and crew for keeping the program moving along and to finish ahead of the thunder storms that were predicted later this evening.
I was a Section A lone wolf. Missed everyone and quite frankly this interim Mayor, or Grand Poobah stuff isn't what it is cracked up to be. I'd ask myself questions and I'm pretty sure I was giving out wrong answers.
