Give me some ideas

The Haub steakhouse in Haubstadt is a good choice. There is also an Amish buffet, Stoll's I think, just south of the junction of I-64 and 41.

There's the Old Log Inn nearby.

That's close to the intersection of US 41 and I-64. It's great, but if you go there have cash on you. They don't take credit cards.

I second the Amish buffet. It is just south of the interstate on Route 41 on the east side of the road. I thought the lunch on Saturday was excellent and cheap. The Sunday brunch is good, but not in the same league. Much larger selection on Saturday. Not that the Sunday bruch is bad, just not excellent.

Stolle's "Amish style" buffet is the best around. You will never get in the Log Inn (2hr wait) and the Haub House is great but very $$$$. There is another restaruant called the Cariage Inn next to the Haub House that is very good too. Both of those are straight west of the race track on the same road in town at the railroad track.

I'm sure all the above suggestions are fine, but if I were you I would wait for SHORTBUS' recommendations. He knows the "Best Places To Eat w/in Ten Miles of " anywhere; Haubstadt, Bloomington, Gas City, wherever. Go to the expert authority on matters such as this. :wink:wink
