The Beach House 600cc Micro Sprints will be a part of Bud Light Ladies Night Round 2 at Macon Speedway this Saturday night. A popular stop for POWRi, the micros hook up and fly around the 1/5 mile high banks at speeds close to the full bodied Super Late Models Macon runs frequently. This speed is matched with wheel to wheel action on a smooth surface that puts on a great show. If you race a 600cc winged Micro and are looking for a place to race this Saturday night, Macon is the place to be. For more information check out http://maconracing.com

Also joining the 600cc Micros are the Illinois Lightning Sprints, which are somewhat larger. Rules available at http://illinoislightningsprintseries...fo/ilss-rules/

The car count and quality of field should both be good. Last time around there were 20+ micros with a lot of guys who run more than a few POWRi races. Look for this as well as the usual great racing that Macon is known for.

MACON, Ill. – A swarm of Beach House Mini-Sprints are expected to invade Macon Speedway Saturday night during Heinkel’s Three Dog Night, when the 600cc open-wheel screamers will fly around the fifth-mile high-banked oval in near record time.
When they ran here in late May, 20 mini-sprints decended on the legendary oval for an amazing battle that included several stars from the POWRi tour. After POWRi hotshoe Aaron Andruskevitch fell from the lead after losing power, Tyler Day of Atwood swept into the lead to score the win. Brad McDaniel of Carbondale finished second, and Paul Day of Atwood was third.
Beach House Mini-Sprint drivers enjoy coming to famed Macon Speedway because of the track layout that lends itself for great racing in the midget-style cars, and they also like the track preparation and the smooth, high-banked corners. With POWRi Series idle this weekend, Macon Speedway is a likely destination for some of the talented drivers and fast cares from the premier micro series.
The racing program also features a Midwest Big Ten Series street stocks race in a $500 to win feature. The Midwest Big Ten Series is a 10-race schedule spreads over four tracks, including five races at Macon Speedway plus an appearance at the Christian County Fair in Taylorville on July 24 during the Triple 25’s sponsored by Larry’s Service Center. Billingsley Towing modifieds, sportsman, outlaw hornets, stock hornets and the Illinois Lightning Sprint Series will also race. Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7. Five ladies from Woody’s will race with the top two finishers advancing to the Bud Light Championship race on Sept. 13.
Heinkel’s Three Dog Night has food and fun with $1 hot dogs, a hot dog eating contest and free merchandise, including variety meat packs from Heinkel’s. Women also receive half-price admission as the gals from Woody’s compete during the second Bud Light Ladies Night race of the season while Midwest Big Ten Series Street Stocks race for $500 to win.

The mercury on the thermometer has risen, and Mother Nature has definitely let us know that summer is upon us. Looking for a great way to have fun and BEAT the heat? Grab a race bucket before the Bud Light Ladies Night race when the gals from Woody’s hop into four-cylinder hornets for a five-lap shootout Saturday during Heinkel’s Three Dog Night at legendary Macon Speedway. Just like last week, fans can buy race buckets filled with ice and five beers.

In conjunction with the Bud Light Ladies Night race, fans may choose from Bud and Bud Light buckets. Pick your favorite bucket. Fill it up with five beers from the Budweiser line of products, let the free ice chill it down and take a seat for some hot racing. For just $20, you get the souvenir race bucket, five cans of beer and the ice. Refills are $15 for five more cans and ice to keep it cold.

So get to Macon Speedway and get your souvenir race bucket. They come in three styles – galvanized Bud Light, Budweiser racing with Kevin Harvick and Bud Light with the World Cup logo. Don’t be late. This deal is only while supplies last. Race buckets on racing on the high banks. You can’t beat that.

Well, there’s one way to make it better. Grab a Heinkel’s dollar dog, a polish sausage or perhaps go to the wild side and choose a smoked turkey leg. All of those Heinkel’s products go great with a cold beer. There’s also a hot dog eating contest and giveaways, such as Heinkel’s meat variety packs plus T-shirts and hats from Heinkel’s and trinkets from Budweiser

In addition to the Bud Light Ladies Night race, Macon Speedway will also race Big Ten Series Street Stocks, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Sportsman, Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets, Beach House Mini-Sprints and Illinois Lightning Sprint Series.

Tickets are $15. Women receive half-priced admission on Bud Light Ladies Night. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7.
