Subject: 410 Winged and Non Winged Asphalt Series

In 2014 there will be five Winged sprint car series for 410 engines in 2014. That's a lot of choices. Hoss, AVSS, MSR and two more new series to be announced soon.

This doesn't include 410 Wingless Little 500, USSA or Spartan which would actually bring the total to 8 410 Series.

There is gonna be a lot of racing available to the 410 racers. 5 Winged Series and 3 Non Winged Series. Buckle Up.

It would really be cool if one of these organizations added a dirt series as part of their season long championship!!!! Then there would be a true sprint car champion and a unique series. There are plenty of sprint cars in the area....if some series would offer an opportunity that did not include high cost memberships to pay their employees....there are over 100 dirt sprint cars in Indiana alone, if you subtract the 8 USAC cars that still leaves plenty! What a cool, unique idea, a true sprint car championship series!!

Biobased USA does race dirt 360/410 winged sprint cars in Michigan and Ohio. Sod and NRA Invaders as well as Attica, All Stars and
I expect in 2014 we will race some World of Outlaws. So we try and at least support as well on Asphalt Hoss, AVSS and the two new
winged series...That's about 40 races a year. We have two drivers... Jared Horstman 360/410 for Dirt and Kyle Edwards for Super Modifieds
with MSA and ISMA, and HOSS and AVSS for now with the Winged Sprints. What I would like to sponsor in 2014 is a Super Modifieds vs
Sprint Car race just looking for the right track. You get double the cars sprints and super modifieds I could see about 50 entries and the
track only pays one purse. Might even be a C Main.. DW

I would assume the fans, owners, and drivers (as well as potential fans, owners, and drivers) probably care. As a fan of pavement racing (though I didn't get to a single pavement race this year), I certainly am interested to see what additional series may surface, as well as what happens with those that already exist. You also clearly cared enough to respond, rather than simply pass on by the thread.

I have to give a tip of the hat to Spartan Speedway for, once again, running non-winged sprints in 2013. Albeit they run them bi-weekly, but no one else runs them. It's a nice place, a great grandstand (they bought one of the aluminum ones a few years back that MIS took out due to lack of NASCAR fans).

On that topic (a few years back).... when South Bend Motor Speedway was bought and re-opened, their original schedule had 4-5 non-winged sprints events on it. That would have been fantastic, for they could have filled in the weekends when Spartan Speedway was not running them and it could have gone from there. It never materialized, though, and well...... I guess you need money.

So now, SBMS is paying $600-to-win in 2014 for Outlaw Late Models. I know Kalamazoo is paying a lot more and drawing a lot more fans. Too bad SBMS cannot pay the $800-to-win for the non-winged sprints instead, on a bi-weekly basis, and give the Late Models a week off now and then. I think Spartan pays $800-to-win.

But, it's not my money, and I am neither the promoter or owner, so it is a moot point. I am only the fan.

Oh..... wait..... I am the guy they are trying to the MONEY from! I might be more important than I think!

Good luck to all Pavement Sprints Series in 2014! Keep that big, fat RR tire squealing in the turns!
