Didn't make it to DuQuoin, but saw via twitter that Chris Urish won the champ car race. Big congrats to him.

Wow. We had a great night with our MOWA event in Quincy, IL with young Paul Neinhiser getting his first 410 win after trading sliders with Joey Moughan...then get the icing on the cake news that our guy...our buddy Chris Urish wins the Ted Horn 100! Are you kidding?! Congrats to Chris, family and entire crew from every single one of us at MOWA. We had two winners tonight. Good things happen to good people. See you Friday in Burlington. Great job. Great job!

I had never heard of Urish until a previous SC race. Can someone tell us a little about him?

Congratulation Chris, I raced Mini Sprints with Chris and his dad for years. They are as nice of people as you will ever meet. Chris was one of the drivers involved in the scary fire on the backstretch at Springfield a couple of years ago.

Dick you should have seen him run a red 77 sprint car at Haubstadt five or six years ago.

He's from the Springfield area and races mainly winged 410s now with he MOWA series. But in years passed he ran non-winged cars with the MSCS and other local shows. He and his dad are a couple of the nice guys left in the sport. Really glad to read that they won.

Jake.

Nice job Chris. It's good to see a local boy do well.

For those about to rock, we salute you.

Yes indeed. All those nights spent watching Chris race at Jacksonville make this win of his even more special.
