One spot away from a complete sweep. That is simply amazing. The Phillips team had not won a USAC race before this season. He has given them four. They make quite a team.

Dave has given more than one team their first usac win. Awesome weekend . DD is the man. Way to drive around to the backstretch and let us backstretchers in on the post race standing ovation!!

After night 1 you could see the fire in Dave he wasn't going to be beat again it took heart to win against this field of cars and he wanted it more than anyone else. A deserving winner

This may sound funny since it's after the fact but it is 100% truth. I was at Sun Prairie the night Rico got his first USAC win and knowing DD and his family we stopped by his pit before leaving. Dave asked us when was the next race we were going to and we said Smackdown at Kokomo, after no hesitation at all he said "well i plan on winning all 3 nights of that". Guess he was ready for this one for a long time!
