Always good to hear of a track reopening rather than closing, regardless of where it is. Maybe I Miss Manzy can give us a report.

Been trying to get more info on this,Frank. So far,this is the only site that's mentioned it. Where did you hear it,Lloyd? As soon as I can find out something,I'll post it up! Also,the track's name was Prescott Valley Raceway.

I'm a little behind times. But, where do the Phoenix racers race at now? Is there a a weekly track still running in that area?

OK,went out to Canyon last night for the open practice and was able to find out that long time AZ racer "Bugs" Norbury has taken the reins and will be opening the track late next month. In answer to your question racerjim,we have Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, a 1/3 mile. In it's second season this year is Arizona Speedway, a 3/8th mile located in Queen Creek in the far east valley. Reopening this season after being shuttered for 4 years is Central Arizona Raceway,a 3/8 mile fairground track,located in Casa Grande.Also there's Tucson International Raceway, a 3/8ths and Thunder Raceway,a 1/4 mile in Show Low.
