The Midwest TQ Racing League and the Bartholomew County Fair Board has worked out a date of July 9 for Tony Stewart Night at the fairgrounds.

Stewart will compete on the quarter-mile dirt oval in a three-quarter midget car.

Although Stewart hasn't competed before in a Midwest TQ Racing League event, he has been involved with the organization as a sponsor and a car owner. In 1980, Stewart won the 4-Cycle Rookie Junior Class Championship at the Columbus fairgrounds as an 8-year-old.
